Snettisham Wader Roost Masterclass
This one-day workshop is in aid of the RSPB’s crowd-funding appeal to re-build the roost hide which was destroyed in the storm tide of December 2013.
We have scheduled this event to coincide with the high spring tide, and fully expect large numbers of knot and other wading birds to be present. The plan is to meet the evening before in a local hotel (to be confirmed), where we can enjoy an evening meal and an introductory AV presentation and tutorial by Chris. Then we shall be well-placed for an early morning start to get on to the reserve well before high water, and witness one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles in the British Isles. Once the birds have dispersed after the roost, we can look forward to a hearty brunch, before departure.
Previous bird photography experience desirable, and telephoto lenses of 300mm or longer recommended.
Group size: 6 persons max
Transport: We share cars during the workshop, but if you plan to arrive by public transport you can almost certainly be accommodated – just let us know beforehand.
Cost per person: £300 inc dinner, B&B in local hotel.
