Seabirds of the Farne Islands

An all-day field excursion to one of Britain’s most spectacular and photogenic seabird colonies, in association with Nikon School, and led by Chris Gomersall. Meet Seahouses harbour 09.00

Of course there are puffins! And there are many other approachable bird subjects, such as razorbills, guillemots, shags, kittiwakes, arctic & sandwich terns, and eider ducks. Grey seals are abundant in the surrounding waters. Our day will include visits to both Staple Island and Inner Farne, with up to three hours on each. Chris Gomersall will be your photographic tutor, and will offer advice on how to deal with tricky exposures, flight action, etc, and generally to make sure you get the best out of this experience.

Non-Nikon owners welcome.

Group size: 12 persons max

Cost per person: £129 (includes boat fares, but not National Trust landing fees). Full refund in the event of cancellation due to bad weather.
