Red Kites Experience

A one-day field excursion to Gigrin Farm in Rhayader with Nikon School, led by Chris Gomersall.

Perfect your flight photography skills, at the spectacular red kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm. Expect to see hundreds of wild red kites perform their acrobatic flight display at very close range – perfect conditions for developing your follow-focus and action photography technique. The day begins with an illustrated presentation about the history of red kites in the UK, their ecology and conservation, followed by a theory session on photographic technique – looking at issues such as exposure control, command of autofocus modes, etc. Then we shall have exclusive use of the the two purpose-built tower hides during and after the afternoon feed, where your tutor Chris Gomersall will be on hand to offer expert guidance and support throughout.

Non-Nikon owners welcome.
