Kingfisher, kestrel & little owl: hide photography
One-day workshop in association with Nikon School, led by Chris Gomersall.
A unique opportunity to photograph three highly desirable wild bird subjects in their native habitat, all on the same day: kingfisher, little owl and kestrel. This one-day field excursion and workshop gives delegates an introduction to working from bird photography hides, at prepared feeding stations, under the direction of a highly experienced professional bird & wildlife photographer, Chris Gomersall. These feeding stations for kingfisher, little owl and kestrel are all well-established, and the birds quite habituated, so while success can not be guaranteed your chances of obtaining frame-filling shots of all three species are excellent. Careful attention has been paid to lighting and background when siting these hides, and the perches are frequently refreshed. Delegates will take turns to rotate between the three hides, which are all within a 400 metre radius on the same farm, minimising set-up time.
Non-Nikon owners welcome.
