The last slender-billed curlew

posted

I am pleased to offer this special commemorative, limited edition print, of the last known slender-billed curlew (Numenius tenuirostris) which I photographed at Merja Zerga, Morocco, in February 1995, and which was officially declared extinct by the IUCN in October 2025.

This image, originally shot on film, has recently been re-scanned and digitally restored to the highest standard. I am proud to launch this unique edition of a maximum of fifty A3, archival quality, giclée prints, professionally produced by my trusted lab on Hahnemuhle 308 gsm photo rag paper. Unmounted prints will be signed on the reverse, authenticated by an emboss stamp and accompanying certificate, and posted flat-packed (to UK addresses only). The initial offer price is £95 per A3 print, including postage (image size 375 x 250mm).

For each print sold I will make a donation of £10 to Curlew Action (registered charity no. 1187172).

To order, please email me with your contact details, including your postal address, and I will reply with information on how to pay securely.
