Tours & Workshops

Chris Gomersall has a successful track record of leading wildlife photography tours and workshops since 1998. He has worked with companies such as Northshots, Shetland Nature, and Naturetrek, and is currently working in partnership with Nikon School and Nature’s Images. In addition, he has delivered training sessions for the Natural History Museum, Cambridge University Museum of Zoology, the University of Falmouth, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, WildPhotos, and more. Chris is also proud to be associated with Hebridean Adventures, acting as a wildlife guide and photography mentor on live-aboard cruises around the Hebrides on the converted Norwegian rescue ship Hjalmar Bjørge.

Chris also schedules his own programme of training days, residential workshops and photography holidays in the UK, to suit all levels of experience, from novice through to semi-pro. Indeed, some of our delegates have themselves gone on to enjoy success in competitions like the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the British Wildlife Photography Awards. Our programme usually centres on the practical aspects of wildlife photography, with events held on location at a wide range of destinations. We don’t work with captive birds and animals. You won’t normally see these activities advertised in magazines or on other websites, since places are usually filled through personal recommendation and returning clients – a reputation we are very proud of, and try not to take for granted. If you would like to receive early notification of these events, please sign up for our monthly workshops and tours bulletin below.

We are always happy to discuss arranging bespoke training days for your company or organisation, or to provide consultancy services in the field of wildlife photography tourism.
