In association with Nature’s Images, led by Chris Gomersall and Paul Hobson
Bosque del Apache reserve in the US state of New Mexico is one of the world’s most renowned destinations for wildlife photography. At this time of year we can expect to see huge numbers of migratory snow geese and sandhill cranes that winter here, and we’ll be concentrating on photographing the flocks as they go to roost in the evening and their early morning blast-offs. It’s usually cold, clear and colourful in this season, offering bags of creative potential for silhouettes, flight action shots, motion blur, individual portraits – there’s something for everybody. During the day, other subjects might include roadrunner, meadowlark, quail, coyote and mule deer.
